For Businesses

Every year, thousands of Virginia's teens work in part-time or summer jobs that provide great opportunities for learning important life skills and acquiring hands-on experience. The recent Census 2000 found that nearly 450,000 teens work in businesses throughout the commonwealth. Teens are employed in 275,000 businesses that contribute 273 billion dollars to the overall economy of Virginia.

The relationship of the teen's disposable income and the business community is clear. What is equally important is the commitment of Virginia businesses to the safety and well-being of the teen driver.
