A sobering lesson
- FORT DEFIANCE -C. Hoffman Algenon Jr. quietly took in the sight of his 16-year-old son’s demolished Honda Accord. He watched as the medical examiner approached to “process” the prom-dress-wearing girl lying face down on the ground. He said nothing while another young teen, the driver of the other car, was led away in handcuffs after failing a field sobriety test.

Teen-driving laws save lives
- WASHINGTON-Katie Flowers can’t wait to get her learner’s permit when she turns 15 in June.
She’s ready for the freedom a driver’s license will bring, but there’s one thing she’s not excited about. Until she’s at least 16-and-a-half, state law will prevent her from driving after 9 p.m.

Seat belt crackdown to begin
- Police throughout central Virginia are renewing their focus on drivers who don't wear their seat belts and they say they're not letting anyone get away with it. If you're not in the habit of buckling your seat belt, you have just a few days to make it your routine because on May 22nd, "click it or ticket" begins.

Friends reflect on teens whose bright futures ended in single-car wreck
- NORFOLK - Flowers, stuffed animals and candles marked the spot where friends gathered Tuesday to remember two teenagers killed in a car crash near the school one of them attended.
